Gautam Sanyal was born in August 1954 in Burdwan district, West Bengal, India. He has received his B. E and M. Tech degree from REC, Durgapur, now, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. He has received his Ph.D (Engg.) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, in the area of Robot Vision. He is presently working as an HOD (CSE & MCA) at NIT, Durgapur. His area of interest includes Soft Computing, Networking and NLP.(
