Kim Ho Yeap received his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Petronas University of Technology (UTP) in 2004, Master of Science in Microelectronics from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2005, and PhD in Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) in 2011. In 2008, he was funded by both Tunku Abdul Rahman University and University of Oxford to undergo 2 months of research attachment in University of Oxford. In 2015, he was funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) to undergo 3 weeks of research attachment in Nippon Institute of Technology (NIT) in Japan. Yeap is a senior member of the IEEE and IETI, a member of the IET and IAENG, as well as, a graduate member of the IEM. He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the UK Engineering Council and a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. From July 2005 to December 2007, he was a lecturer with Tunku Abdul Rahman University (Malaysia) in the KL campus. In early December 2007, he was deployed to the Perak main campus. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering (DEE), Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT). Throughout his career, Yeap has served in various administrative capacities, including the Head of Programme of Master of Engineering Science, the Head of Department of Electronic Engineering and the chairperson of the Self-Assessment Committee (SAC). Yeap has been actively involved in teaching, as well as research. Since 2005, he has taught more than 10 different subjects. Yeap's research areas of interests are in electromagnetics and microelectronics. Since 2006, he has published about 64 international refereed journal papers, 4 local refereed journal papers, 38 international conference proceedings, 5 books, and 9 book chapters. He also serves as the reviewer for 2 book chapters, 16 journals and 59 conferences / symposiums / workshops. Yeap is the external examiner and external course assessor of Wawasan Open University. He is the Editor in Chief of the i-manager’s Journal on Digital Signal Processing (JDP). He is a member of the advisory board of the International Journal of Electronics, Communication and, Computer Technology (IJECCT), Advances in Computational Research, and the World Research Journal of Telecommunications Systems. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Advanced Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Scientific Journal (AEEESJ), as well as International Journal of Engineering and Manufacturing (IJEM). He has also been a guest editor for the Journal of Applied Environmental and Biological Sciences (JAEBS) and Journal of Fundamental and Applied Sciences. Yeap has been given various awards which include the university teaching excellence award, 4 Kudos awards from Intel Microelectronics and 19 research grants. In 2010 and 2011, Yeap was invited by the Perak Entrepreneur and Skills Development Centre (PESDC) and Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) to conduct training on electronic sensors and RF / microwave, respectively. Yeap's biography is also listed in the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019 editions of Marquis Who's Who in the World and published in the Jan/Feb 2012 edition of the MBA Edge magazine.
